Vild med ORD Literature Festival, Aarhus

Vild med ORD Literature Festival, Aarhus

Let’s meet about something we love. Word. Those quirky things that come out of your mouth, out of your body like clapping fingers on your keyboard, or a dancing pencil on a piece of paper.

If you not only love books, but are also quite happy with the feeling of coziness and good company, then Wild of Words is for you. Since 2009 we have put the literature on the Danes agenda. With a dedicated team of literature lovers whose only wish is to introduce you and all our other guests to a variety of irresistible events. Not least our annual literature festival in February.

Together we celebrate the writing, the ideas and the good story. All in all, it means a cozy, literary experience for you, who loves nothing more than a festival for the few.

Maybe it’s just because we belong in Aarhus. In the City of Smile. In any case, we dream of doing exactly the festival you would rather not miss. As you will remember with a smile.

West Cork Literary Festival

West Cork Literary Festival

Now an annual highlight in the Irish literary calendar, the West Cork Literary Festival is a week-long celebration of writing and reading for people of all ages.  From its humble beginnings as a series of casual poetry readings and fringe events around the Chamber Music Festival, it has expanded into a varied and extensive programme of readings, talks and week-long workshops, growing more adventurous and imaginative with each year.

We are delighted to bring the finest Irish and international literary figures to West Cork every July – making exceptional talent accessible to local, regional and national audiences.  At the heart of the Festival is the practice and craft of writing, and in keeping with this Festival Director Eimear O’Herlihy devises a workshop programme second to none, designed to encourage and inspire novice as well as experienced writers.  Now in its 19th year,  the Festival is a social event, noted for its supportive and friendly atmosphere, and its personal touch.

Poetry International Festival Rotterdam

Poetry International Festival Rotterdam

This year, the Poetry International Festival Rotterdam turns 50! The milestone makes it the oldest festival in the city, and one of the oldest in the country, with a wealth of history and highlights. Nobel Prize-winning poets once stood on Poetry’s stages as bright young talents, and the festival is both a shining example for, and founding parent of, poetry festivals worldwide. Poetry International celebrates its golden anniversary with an extra festive edition at de Doelen, which also hosted the debut festival back in 1970.

Trailblazing poets will deliver transformative work thrumming with the now. Unique fusions of poetry by engaging artists from the worlds of music, cinema, and dance amplify the power, the beauty, and the personal impact of poetry, here in the form of an intimate reading or workshop, there as a multidisciplinary theatrical poetry spectacle. Right in the heart of the city, inviting, challenging, unmissable.
