The London Book Fair is the global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels. In 2018 LBF will celebrate its 47-year anniversary.
Staged annually, LBF sees more than 25,000 publishing professionals arrive in London for the week of the Fair to learn, network, and kick off their year of business.
Technology’s role in scholarly publishing is becoming ever more important, and at the forefront of the digital revolution are the trailblazers of technological innovation – the academic/STM/professional publishers. An increasing number of these publishers choose to exhibit at The London Book Fair or attend as visitors.
Authors feel at home at the Fair – and so they should. Author HQ comprises a theatre and networking area. It is one of the most popular features of the Fair, attracting a great deal of interest from the self-publishing community. Author HQ demonstrates LBF’s role in acknowledging the changes in the industry, by providing a forum for discussion of the ever expanding number of approaches to publishing.
Once again there was plenty on offer at LBF 2017 for both established and aspiring authors: A range of seminars, conferences and special events took place both for, and featuring, authors as well as a dedicated sector of the show, Writers Block, that featured companies who provide publishing solutions to authors looking to self-publish.
LBF celebrates and champions bookselling in all its guises, from high street browsing to online clicking.
Each year, we welcome the Booksellers Association (BA) as one of our main sponsors and supporters, and we’re proud to provide a full programme of events and networking opportunities for booksellers at the Fair.
BA Members attend the Fair for FREE and receive a number of key benefits, making the Fair a more accessible, cost-effective and highly relevant event for booksellers.
Always one of the most colourful areas of the show, Children’s & YA traditionally welcomes the leading names in the field to exhibit.
Each year, these companies enjoy buzzing aisles full of visitors, providing the opportunity to increase brand awareness, generate new business leads both domestically and globally, and increase their networks.
