Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair

The Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair offers an innovative approach to promoting reading, including an overview of the book in a modern multimedia cultural field, an analysis of its evolution, and a demonstration of the transformation of the book in its competition with new types of art and information media. Throughout its time, the Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair has become a renowned event and, given the composition of the participants in the exhibition and cultural programs, has received international attention.
Musical and theater groups, writers, fiction writers, poets, and artists come to the central city of Siberia from around the world. By tradition, there is a debate on the NOS literary prize during one of the days of the Fair. Particular attention is always paid to the children’s program which is aimed at developing an early interest and love for literature, art and creativity. Classes with children are held in the form of informative and exciting games, quizzes, and creative master classes, which are conducted by famous artists, writers, actors, and musicians. Annually, the Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair brings together more than 200 publishing houses, hundreds of guests from Russia, and the world take part in the cultural program, and more than 50,000 people attend fair events.
